Can I use rechargeable batteries or my own batteries?
Updated on 15/8/2023
The batteries in our smartlocks have been extensively tested and optimised specifically for our 5G IoT smartlocks. They are long lasting batteries and last over 2 years (av. 4 activiations a day). If used less often they last even longer.
We not use rechargeable batteries and we don't recommend them for use in 5G IoT smartlocks as they lose their charge with every recharge, and it's difficult to go on sites, sometimes in remote areas and recharge the batteries every few months.
